Blackpink Breaks Records

Blackpink’s “Pink Venom” has topped YouTube’s global chart for 2 consecutive weeks. According to the latest graph (2022.08.26~2022.09.01) released by YouTube on the 4th of September, the pre-released song ‘Pink Venom’ from Blackpink’s second regular album reached to the top of the top 100 global YouTube songs following last week.

During the same period, the most viewed music video in the world was also ‘Pink Venom’.’Pink Venom’s music video surpassed 90.4 million views within 24 hours after release and it breaks the world record for a female artist. 

After hitting 100 million views at top speed (29 hours and 35 minutes) among Kpop girl groups, it surpassed 200 million views in 7.5 days. The sound response was also unfavorable. 

It entered at number 22 for the first time on the UK Official Chart, which is considered one of the two biggest pop charts in the world by the US Billboard, and also ranked 37th for the second week. On Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, it also ranked No. 2 on the Top Songs GlobalWeekly Chart.

It is also expected that BLACKPINK will maintain the top spot on the Billboard ranking, but it also ranked 22nd on the Hot 100 chart.

BLACKPINK is going for a super-large world tour in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania after the Seoul concert which will be held on October 15th and 16th.
