Right from the start of November, there are many idols preparing to make a comeback. But due to an awful tragedy, idols who were about to make a comeback expressed sorrow and decided to postpone their planned comebacks.
In November’s Kpop scene where many idol stars were going to come back, let’s see how their schedules have changed and which delightful idols are going to make a comeback.
Apink Jung Eun-ji
When discussing vocalists in Kpop girl groups that you can trust and listen, Apink’s Jung Eun-ji can’t be left out.
She had announced her first solo comeback in about 2 years for Nov 2. But to commemorate the victims of the Itaewon crowd crush, she decided to postpone her album release.
She is currently discussing with the distributor, so the exact comeback date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
This album means a lot to both Eun-ji and her fans. Apparently, Eun-ji had promised to her fans that she’d definitely release a remake album when she hit 30.
So she made a remake album consisting of songs that influenced her a lot through her life. That’s why the album is named ‘Log’.
I’m curious what it’ll feel like to hear the song ‘Around 30’ sung in Eun-ji’s voice.
NATURE
Early this year, NATURE drew a lot of attention with the mockumentary named ‘NATURE can’t go down like this’ and their unique dance moves.
Sohee, who was sadly eliminated from ‘Produce 101’ is in this group. NATURE was going to come back on Nov 2 as well, like Eun-ji.
With their 3rd mini album [NATURE WORLD: CODE W], they were going to come back, but they pushed the album release back to Nov 6, expressing sorrow for the victims of the accident and their families.
NATURE members apparently turned into enchanting 9-tailed foxes in this album.
A new member in ICHILLIN’?
ICHILLIN’, which is a girl group that debuted in 2021, welcomed a new member, which made many fans excited.
Jung Ji-yoon who captivated many fans with her amazing vocals on ‘GP 999′, the survival show that gave birth to Kep1er, joined ICHILLIN’.
After Sohee’s sudden departure, Ji-yoon became a new member, and ICHILLIN’ had finished preparing their comeback for Nov 3 with their new single ‘Draw(MY TIME)’.
But ICHILLIN’ decided to postpone the release of their album and all the other promotion content as well to express sorrow for the recent victims.
They stated that they’ll announce the new dates as soon as they’re decided.
With Ji-yoon, who showed incredible vocals on ‘GP 999′, I’m excited to see what kind of comeback ICHILLIN’ will make.
Xdinary Heroes
JYP’s good-looking idol band Xdinary Heroes had released a teaser video and highlight film sampler, preparing for their comeback for Nov 4 with their 2nd mini album [Overload].
But to express sorrow for the victims of the tragic accident and their families, they decided to postpone the album release.
With that, they temporarily halted releasing their content on the original dates. They stated that they’ll later announce the new dates of the release of their album and content.
I guess we’ll have to wait a little longer to hear the new amazing band music of Xdinary Heroes.
Idols whose album releases have been postponed
IRRIS, CRAXY, and EXO’s Chen who were going to come back on Oct 31,
DRIPPIN who were going to come back on Nov 1, and TRENDZ who were going to come back on Nov 3 decided to postpone their album releases as well despite losing money in order to commemorate the victims of the Itaewon accident.
HIGHLIGHT
The 4 handsome men who turned from BEAST to HIGHLIGHT are set to make a comeback on Nov 7.
They’ve been releasing teaser photos that contain the vibe of autumn men.
Their 4th mini album [AFTER SUNSET], which is coming out this time, is going to contain strong autumn vibe, just like the album title. HIGHLIGHT is already in their 13th year!
I hope they stay together for a long time with good songs and albums.
OH MY GIRL YooA
OH MY GIRL YooA announced a solo comeback for Nov 14 with her new album [SELFISH].
Unlike her last solo album where she showed a dreamy fairy vibe through the song ‘Bon Voyage’, the photo of the inside of the upcoming album is full of pink, which is the color that Mimi dislikes.
While the completely different vibe is making many people curious what kind of song it will be, YooA spilled a spoiler, saying it’s such an addictive song that it may become a song you shouldn’t hear if you’re studying for Suneung (college entrance exam).
I’m curious what YooA will look like with her completely new concept.
AleXa
AleXa is a former ‘Produce 48’ participant who became the final winner of America’s famous survival show ‘American Song Contest’ this year!
Recently, she signed with UTA, a major agency in the US, and was preparing for a comeback for Nov 11 with her new album [GIRLS GONE VOGUE].
But she decided to postpone all the scheduled promotions of the album in order to express sorrow for the victims of the Itaewon crowd crush. However, the album release date hasn’t changed.
In Korea, the winners of survival shows have always had big success with their album afterward, receiving lots of attention. Being that this will be AleXa’s first new album after winning an American survival program, I wonder how successful it will be in the US.
NU’EST Kim Jonghyeon
With their last album in March of this year, NU’EST had a beautiful farewell.
With Baekho’s solo album released last month and Ren’s solo fan concert held in September, former NU’EST members have each begun to get busy in their own positions.
JR Kim Jong-hyeon, who used to be the leader, is going to be back with his first solo album [MERIDIEM]. With 2 of the songs written by himself, this album is said to be full of his love for his fans.
“Light”, which is the keyword that appears the most in this album, apparently refers to his fans who were precious beings for him for a long time. I guess NU’EST leader’s album, which is set to come out on Nov 8, will be another kind of light for the fans.
CSR
There is a girl group that debuted this year with the vibe of innocent girls. It’s CSR.
Innocent concepts used to be very common in the past, but it’s been rare recently among 4th-gen girl groups, which only made many Kpop fans pay more attention to CSR!
Also, all 7 members of CSR are the same age, born in 2005, which is interesting.
In the history of Korean idol groups, CSR is the first group where all the members are the same age.
CSR, who debuted with the single ‘Pop? Pop!’ in July this year, is going to make a comeback on Nov 17 with their 1st mini album [Sequence : 7272].
Will CSR be able to make their new “innocent girl” concept trend?
KARA
In celebration of their 15th debut anniversary, KARA is coming back as a whole group for the first time in 7 years!
Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, and Heo Youngji, as well as Nicole and Kang Jiyoung who left KARA in the past will be back together, and many fans were surprised and delighted by this news.
It was announced that KARA is set to come back on Nov 29 with their 15th debut anniversary album [MOVE AGAIN], and many fans are excited to see what it will be like.
According to RBW which acquired DSP Media, KARA finished filming for the album cover in October, and the recording for the new album is almost finished.
KARA used to be so big in Japan that they were the first girl group to hold their own concert in Tokyo Dome in Japan.
So they’re planning to release a new album in Japan as well in December. Also, starting in February of 2023, they’re planning to hold fan meetings various places in Japan.
Since many fans have waited for a long time, I’m curious what kinds of performances KARA will show.
BTS RM
BTS’ leader RM announced a solo debut as well, for Nov 25, as the 3rd BTS member to go solo.
So far, RM has participated in writing lyrics and music in many BTS songs, so fans were so curious what kind of album will be released.
During an interview with RollingStone, RM gave an update about his album.
He said that his solo album is currently about 90% complete.
Pharrell Williams, a genius artist from the US who was also interviewed, expressed his desire to participate in the album, which implied a possibility of a collaboration song. Actually, in Pharrell Williams’ recent album, there is already a song that he and BTS collaborated on.
There was news about Red Velvet’s comeback in November as well. But they’re still trying to decide the exact date and concept of their comeback,so the exact comeback date hasn’t been released yet.
Also, woo!ah!, Secret Number, NINE.i, VERIVERY, VICTON, JUST B, etc
are preparing for a comeback, despite the huge global soccer eventknown as World Cup in November.
Since many of them are such pleasure to see, I guess the Kpop scene in November will be a lot of fun to watch and listen to.
