As per the latest rankings from Japan’s Oricon on the 28th, Zero Base One 제로베이스원 (comprising Seong Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Jang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Kyu-bin, Park Gun-wook, Han Yu-jin) garnered an impressive 310,583 sales with their debut Japanese single ‘Yura Yura -Unmei no Hana-‘. Accumulating points, they ascended to the summit of the Oricon weekly combined single rankings as of April 1 (covering the period from March 18-24).
Moreover, Zero Base One 제로베이스원 secured the top spot in the previously disclosed Oricon weekly single ranking, marking the highest sales for a debut album by foreign artists in history. Consequently, Zero Base One achieved dual triumphs on the Oricon weekly chart with their Japanese debut single.
In addition to their Oricon triumphs, they also seized the pinnacle on the Billboard Japan chart. Their debut single amassed an estimated 516,721 copies in sales, claiming the number one position on Billboard Japan’s Top Single Sales chart as of March 27 (during the period from March 18-24). Particularly noteworthy, Zero Base One achieved ‘half-million seller’ status within a week of their debut, rewriting the annals of K-pop history in Japan.
Zero Base One recently concluded their first fan concert ‘2024 Zero Base One Fan Con in Japan’ at K-Arena Yokohama on the 23rd and 24th. Not only did they attract approximately 53,000 in-person attendees over the two days, but they also showcased their formidable ticket power by livestreaming online and broadcasting live at around 20 CGVs in Korea.
Zero Base One is slated to grace prime terrestrial broadcasters successively. On the 30th, they made an appearance on TV Asahi’s special program ‘ZB1’s Aim for No.1’ (ZB1の目指せNO.1), followed by an appearance on TBS’s music broadcast program ‘CDTV Live!’ on April 1st.
